MachineWorks will be exhibiting at the RAPID + TCT event in Fort Worth and displaying a sneaky preview of the upcoming Polygonica release on booth 2037 from the 24-26 of April.

Polygonica provides a powerful engine for processing polygon meshes. Any designers or engineers wanting to manipulate polygons find themselves having to fix faulty models, offset walls, remesh surfaces, solve self-intersections and re-orient faces.

The latest version of Polygonica will be offering software developers advanced interactive 3D modelling capabilities for smarter and smoother manipulation of polygonal meshes. The soon-to-be-released Polygonica software will empower users around the world to confidently alter their designs and immediately examine the impact of their design changes.  They can operate efficiently without having to change format or abandon the software at hand.

The demand for clever and automatic handling of laser scan-data and handling point clouds is growing. Polygonica’s new libraries will address this problem with an innovative approach creating extraordinary tools to put at the fingertips of developers that face the complexity of point cloud manipulation and the continuous increase of 3D scanning in medical, aerospace and automotive industries.

Alongside shrink-wrapping technology, Polygonica’s excellent improvements in simplification performance will allow operators to tackle particularly large parts while always preserving the original shape of the model.  New instancing will optimise performance and memory usage in very large scenes typical within large capital asset industries such as construction, plant, energy and offshore.
