7th July 2023 - MachineWorks Ltd to display the latest releases of MachineWorks and Polygonica at EMO, September 18th – 23rd, Hannover, and at Formnext, November 7th - 10th, Frankfurt.

The MachineWorks 8.5 release contains a range of new functionality, including support for eccentric turning, EGL rendering, improved rest and gouge contours and new functionality to optimise tool and holder profiles. More details can be found on the MachineWorks website

At EMO, previews of the upcoming Polygonica 3.3 release will be available, with the full range of new functionality on display at Formnext.

This includes:

  • 1D medial skeleton of 3D body
  • Registration/alignment of a point-cloud with a mesh
  • Closing a mesh using a reference mesh
  • Identify fillets and chamfers during feature detection.
  • New printability analysis: small gaps and protrusion (height) analysis.
  • Denoising of 2D medial axis
