MachineWorks delivers full machine simulation, multi-axis material removal and real-time collision checking functionality to CAD/CAM, CNC Controller and Machine Tool manufacturers.
A more generic toolkit, Polygonica, offers solid modelling libraries for processing polygon meshes to CAD/CAM/CAE, medical, additive manufacturing, geo-exploration, urban modelling and other 3D digital applications.
When MachineWorks’ libraries and/or Polygonica’s libraries are integrated, there is a close collaboration and a permanent open-line with support to overcome any difficulties or to expand on new capabilities. This is complemented with regular onsite visits for implementation, training and further development.
Our highly experienced technical team works on solving complex geometrical problems to provide customers with innovative solutions for their product applications and to support customers with their own challenges.
The Development, Support and Testing teams ensure that all the code that we create is carefully crafted around the needs of our customers and anticipates the markets demands.

Careers
MachineWorks Ltd is a team of experts developing algorithms to solve complex 3D geometric problems. Successful candidates for technical roles will typically have a strong academic record in a STEM subject. A high proportion of the MachineWorks team have PhDs. Commercial software development experience is desirable, but not always essential, depending on the role.
We are always keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate a proven track record in 3D software development for CAD/CAM/CAE, or similar.
The team work in offices based in Sheffield, UK, which is an excellent place to mix an interesting and exciting job with a great quality of life.
