New MachineWorks MachineBuilder
Anybody integrating MachineWorks can now take advantage of our new MachineBuilder.
The MachineBuilder can read in STL models, allow kinematics to be defined for them, and the result to be saved as an XML file. This significantly simplifies the process of creating a full machine model ready for MachineWorks simulation.
The MachineBuilder enables prototyping an application in one day with the application sitting either on the controller or a stand-alone PC.
MachineWorks v6.5 is out now
The new functionality in MachineWorks v6.5 gives faster 5-axis cuts, more stable use of algorithms, simpler programming of full machine simulation and wider support for complex machining.
- Faster simulation of 5-axis machining for die/mold jobs.
- Simulation of a tool spinning on a lathe while keeping the stock stationary.
- Simulation of wire EDM cuts on 2- or 4-axis motions while the stock rotates.
- More reliable use of the Boolean algorithms thanks to the elimination of self-intersecting geometry.
- Full Machine Simulation programming is easier thanks to a new file format and the MachineBuilder.
